  • INTRODUCTION

The Directorate delves into all forms of innovative research for the socio-economic development of Sierra Leone and West Africa as a whole. These actions are undertaken by engaging capable experts in the varied fields of specialty with the ultimate purpose of transformative agenda for the region, and the continent of Africa as a force to reckon with at the global level. The directorate’s effort is not to exhume lofty ideas but a diligent commitment to the successful outcomes of its mission.

  • BLACKSTONE AFRICA-ASIA JURISTS CENTER

Is an independent established Center to undertake its holistic project as a mandate for the continent of Africa, and is currently housed temporarily by the ENC-DRID directorate. The Center holds a collaborative relationship with AMU Malappuram Center, India, the Mercatus Center of George Mason University, USA, Dr. Ambedkar Chair of Legal Studies & Research, and the Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University, India. The ultimate objective of the Center is to conduct interdisciplinary research within the scope of Law, Economics, and Finance, expected to be beneficiary to the ECOWAS region by extension to the other regions of Africa as a whole, and thus serves as a scholarly collaborative project with Asian intellectuals, focusing on contemporary socio-economic and legal issues affecting both government and the private industrialists in their bilateral trade engagement.

  • THE CENTER ACADEMIC PROJECTS

In the year 2024-2025 of our Lord, the Center is prepared to run some of its Executive Development Programs under the auspices of the Council of Legal Education, Sierra Leone Law School, as well as Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, accompanied with engaged supervision of Tertiary Education Commission for Sierra Leone, and a collaborative arrangement with selected academic Institutions within the ECOWAS region in preparing its potential candidates in Post Graduates, and Advanced study programs, as well as professional capacity building courses for both civil and private corporate executives.

[BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF THE DIRECTOR-IN-CHARGE]

Professor Emmanuel Tweneboah Senzu, is a scholar in Constitutional Law and Economics, having his first degree in Marketing Management (BA) at Regent University, followed by an MBA in Management Accounting and Leadership at the same University, then majoring in Business and Managerial Economics (DBA) of the same University (USA). He proceeded to read (Ph.D.) in Behavioral Economics with a research focus in Banking Investment and Risk analysis at Leicester University (UK). With deep involvement in the capital market and investment risk analysis of some projects on the continent of Africa, which served as a leeway to pursue a Master’s program (MFTA) at the International Federation of Technical Analysts, Maryland, USA. His active involvement in liberal advocacy and Economic freedom for Africa as an Intellectual offered him the opportunity to further pursue a Frederic Bastiat Institute fellowship program, with a grant to pursue both a Master’s and a doctorate in Law focusing on Constitutional Law and Economics, majoring in Judicial Administrative Practices and Economic Criminology at AMU India. Currently serving as an external professorial fellow to the Department of Law, AMU Malappuram Center, India.
